Tyson Fury was born on August 12, 1988. He is a British professional boxer. He is the heavyweight division. Fury was raised in the Wythenshawe
area of Manchester England.  When he was born, he weighed one pound and was three months premature.

He is named after Mike Tyson. His family did not think he was going to live. He is of Irish descent and Gaelic origin as well. He had issues gaining dual citizenship for England and Ireland. His dad’s birth country was never recorded.

Tyson left school when he was 11 years old. He worked on the roads and did hard work. He has three other brothers. He started boxing at age 10. He was raised to fight, but only in the boxing ring. His dad was a boxer and has several cousins who have been boxers too. His nickname is the “Gypsy King.”

He made his professional debut at age 20. He was defeated, however, he had six more in seven months, and he won all of them.

He became the unified heavyweight world champion in July 2015. However, the IBF stripped Fury of his title. He had the title for ten days.

He began sinking into depression and soon failed a drug test, testing positive for cocaine. He became more and more depressed. He spent time with his family and one day decided that he was coming back to boxing. He’s been training ever since.

In 2018, he came back with a vengeance and has been training hard since that day. He has the rematch with Wilder due to the draw the boxers received in the first bout.
